Arctic Shanny
This little fish is interesting because they are not supposed to live this far south. They are common in Canadian waters. We found this one near Ragged Island in Casco Bay. So far we have found four individuals in two separate locations in the bay.

Here we find two individuals. The smaller bears the typical alternating colors on its back. The larger is missing this characteristic color scheme. By the way, the larger one narrowly missed having its tail grabbed by a lobster. See Lobster Wants Shanny.
