What to Expect

Unless otherwise arranged when booking the charter, plan to arrive at the wharf at Cook's Lobster House on Bailey Island, ME at 9:00 AM. A link to directions and a map are included below.

At the dock we will spend a few minutes logging you aboard and holding a brief safety orientation. The captain will have an itinerary in mind, but if you have any requests, or if the crew hears by radio from any of their scouts of interesting things going on we will be flexible. You should be back ashore about 2:00 PM. The departure time is calculated to give us the best lighting for the video.

Now for the directions. Get yourself to exit 28 on Route U.S. 295, in the vicinity of Brunswick Maine. Shortly after leaving the exit ramp you will see an Econo-Lodge motel on the right. From there follow these directions.

At Cook's follow the yellow line down the wharf, taking your first left through the passageway marked "Cruise Passengers". This will keep you clear of the commercial lobstering area of the wharf. You should find the Sharon Ann tied up to the float and Captain Jones ready to welcome you aboard.

If you want to come by the office at Orrs Island, follow these directions. Just park anywhere on the lawn and follow the sign to the office door. It is in the sun-room on the back side of the house. If you see a collie looking dog romping around and barking, pay him no heed. He feels it is his duty to announce company.
