I think what we see here is a race to the bait bag. These individuals can't wait to start munching the pickled herring we put in the ROV tether ballast bag.

This crab is working hard on lifting a rock to see if there are any tasty tidbits hidden beneath. When it finally notices the ROV there only a momentary look before going back to work.

This was the first indication we had that lobsters are extremely ticklish about the tail feathers. The crab would like to get at the bait bag but the lobster fends it off with his antennae. So the crab exits, stage left, and returns from directly behind the lobster to stroke the lobster's tail with a foreleg.

Crab are often looking under things. This one lifts a shell and a startled eel darts out and scoots under the kelp.
